The guy at the drive thru today was incredibly helpful and friendly. I appreciated his customer service. The food was amazing, everything was fresh and delicious. The cook even came to the drive thru to speak to us briefly (she was apologizing for something that wasn't even an issue at all, she was just that kind and considerate) overall our experience was amazing and we are very happy with both the service and the food. Love it
Good food, wasn't sure what to expect but the burger was delicious, the onions were smashed into the patty, great staff and I was super surprised by just how clean their kitchen was! Will be coming back from time to time.
An old school, breakfast served all day, 10 selections of pie, with less seating that menu options. CASH ONLY. Smaller thin burgers, so order a double or triple. Old flat top grill that has been serving KC for over 60 years. Could be confused for a mechanic from the outside but on the inside it's Americana that is drying up. Cheap, fast and good.
This place is one of the well known gems in the Northland. Tasty classic burger joint that never disappoints. The food isn't good for you but it sure is good! I always come here at least once a month.
I have never had a bad meal at this cash only diner in Kansas City, MO. Biscuits and Gravy, Chili Cheese Tots, and great hamburgers are served up all day long.
Up north. Again for a traffic complaint location. Popped in at 0930 Had the place to my self. Triple with cheese and a cop of the good stuff (chili) Wow. It was amazing. I am currently on the toilet typing this. I will return !
This greasy-spoon esque joint did not disappoint! They are keeping the history alive on the corner of Vivion and Antioch in Kansas City. Hayes is a pocket sized counter style short order diner with a two person team. All the way down to the fact they are cash only! The older lady running the joint is the perfect mix of gruff but appreciative and there to make every customers experience what it should be! It was fun sitting in a booth watching them serve the customers. The food was great too! I ordered a double cheeseburger with chili cheese tots and got a single cheeseburger but it hit the spot! I mean what else is a first timer going to order at a burger and chili diner? It was just enough for lunch! The burger is a smash burger style with cooked onions smashed into it as well. Everything was cooked right in front of me and super fast! The chili cheese tots were banging as well. The chili is definitely an old school homemade tasting chili and on top of the tots with the cheese was great! They have old school pellet ice in their sodas as well! I didn’t get dessert but they had a whole list of pies and ice cream by the scoop as well as cinnamon rolls and a few other things! I bet they are amazing but I didn’t want to totally overload! I will definitely be back to experience more of this place!

This place is a rare gem, a treasure. I have loved this place for many, many years, and today, on a whim, I demanded that my boyfriend take me here to eat. Our visit today has, in fact, improved on the already-wonderful memories I’ve had of this place. Absolutely amazing food. Great customer service, and workers who are attentive, kind, dedicated and engaged, who are happy to be there, happy to talk to us, who we could tell cared a lot about making sure we had exactly what we wanted. My partner and I both loved the food, and we were very impressed by how the workers went above and beyond to ensure that we were satisfied. We will be coming back, often. So glad I finally convinced my boyfriend to take me here- he’s obsessed with this place like me now and has promised that we’ll come back much more frequently
